 Samsung Electronics has officially announced the public beta release of its new interface, One UI 7, marking a transformative leap in operating system design. The latest version integrates advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, simplified controls, and a forward-looking vision for scalable systems. The interface offers an enhanced user experience by embedding innovative AI capabilities and multimedia functionalities across all aspects, ensuring a natural and seamless connection. AI Enhancements for Effortless User Experiences

One UI 7 is designed to empower users by simplifying their lives through innovative tools within the Galaxy AI ecosystem. These tools, including advanced writing technologies, are not just about boosting productivity but also about giving users more control. With AI, users can select text directly without switching between apps, streamlining tasks. The interface introduces features such as content summarization, spell and grammar checks, and automatic conversion of notes into concise bullet points. These capabilities make writing more accurate and efficient, powered by advanced AI technologies.

Among the standout features is the automatic call transcription tool, which supports more than 20 languages. When call recording is enabled, conversations are transcribed automatically, allowing users to review them later without manual notetaking. This feature simplifies call management and enhances productivity, particularly in work environments.

Bold New Design for Greater Customization and Control

The AI-powered One UI 7 boasts a completely revamped design emphasizing simplicity and innovation. A key highlight is the notification system, which enhances communication and provides easy access directly from the lock screen. This update includes the Now Bar feature, highlighting activities linked to functions such as translation, music, recording, and stopwatch. By offering instant access to important notifications, Now Bar minimizes the need to unlock devices frequently, enabling effortless interaction with information. This feature will debut on the upcoming Galaxy S series devices.

The updated One UI 7 design combines simplicity and emotivity to deliver a cohesive experience for Galaxy users. The official release of One UI 7 is set to coincide with the launch of Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy S series devices in Q1 2025. These devices will feature additional AI-powered enhancements, including on-device AI improvements. As part of Samsung’s ongoing commitment to operating system development, updates to other Galaxy devices will be gradually rolled out.

The One UI 7 beta program will initially be available for Galaxy S24 devices in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the US starting December 5. Galaxy S24 users can apply to join the beta program via the Samsung Members app.
