Bel Egypt collaborates with the Egyptian Food Bank to provide meals as part of the School Feeding Program

 Bel Egypt, a global leader in processed cheese production, has announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with the Egyptian Food Bank under the initiative “A World Where Nutrition is for All.” The initiative was launched under the patronage and in the presence of H.E. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health, along with H.E. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education. It aims to support the School Feeding Program by providing La Vache Qui Rit cheese to prepare 250,000 nutritious and delicious meals. These meals are enriched with essential nutrients such as protein, iron, zinc, calcium, and vitamins A and D, contributing to the healthy growth and development of children.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Hany Arram, Regional Manager of Bel Egypt and North East Africa, and Mr. Mohsen Sarhan Ali, CEO of the Egyptian Food Bank, in the presence of H.E. the Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, H.E. the Minister of Education and Technical Education, as well as members of Bel Egypt and the Egyptian Food Bank, along with the presence of media representatives.

This agreement marks a significant milestone in the long-term strategic partnership between Bel Egypt and the Egyptian Food Bank, underscoring the company’s dedication to social responsibility. By contributing to the School Feeding Program and providing healthy, nutritious meals, the partnership aims to create a sustainable impact on children’s health and future. Aligned with government and civil society efforts, this initiative supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 2: eradicating hunger and enhancing child nutrition in Egypt. It also highlights the vital role of the private sector in advancing sustainable development and fostering community well-being.

During the signing ceremony, H.E. the Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, emphasized that the Egypt places significant importance on improving nutrition in schools, believing that enhancing public health begins with school children, as they represent the promising future of society. He extended his gratitude to Bel Egypt and the Egyptian Food Bank for their outstanding efforts, expressing his hope that this partnership marks the beginning of further fruitful cooperation in the future.

The minister continued by highlighting the close collaboration between the Ministries of Health and Population and the Ministry of Education to support such initiatives, which contribute to building a healthy and strong generation capable of working efficiently in the future. He also expressed his aspiration to strengthen partnerships with various entities to achieve shared goals in improving the community’s overall wellbeing.

As part of this initiative with the Egyptian Food Bank, we are supporting the school feeding program by providing La Vache Qui Rit cheese to be used in preparing 250,000 delicious, which helps enhance children’s health.”
