Juhayna Intensifies Its Efforts to Support and Develop the Egyptian Dairy Sector through its Program ‘Kheir Baladna’ in Partnership with Milk Collection Centers

In light of the World Agriculture Day, Juhayna Food Industries announced the expansion of its efforts to support and develop the Egyptian dairy sector through its partnership with milk collection centers. This initiative is part of the company’s pioneering “Kheir Baladna” program, which was launched in 2019 as a key component of Juhayna’s commitment to sustainable development and the enhancement of production quality standards. The program is designed to create shared value that benefits farmers, milk collection centers, and consumers alike.

“Kheir Baladna” program aims to develop the Egyptian dairy sector by providing the essential technical and logistical support to ensure product quality and increase production efficiency. The program focuses on empowering milk collection centers by providing modern resources and advanced technologies enabling them to improve productivity and overcome seasonal challenges, as well as fluctuations in production and quality. Furthermore, the program aims to foster community sustainability, ensuring long-term benefits for all stakeholders involved.

Since the launch of the program, Juhayna has supported 22 milk collection centers nationwide, leading to a 20% increase in the company’s reliance on these centers. The company’s initiatives have included the provision of advanced equipment to enhance operational efficiency and ensure milk quality, alongside specialized training programs to equip milk collection center staff with the latest production techniques. Furthermore, Juhayna conducts regular field visits to monitor the performance of these centers, ensure compliance with global quality standards, and address any challenges they may encounter.

The program reflects Juhayna’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, as it aims to improve product quality and increase returns for farmers, thereby enhancing consumer trust in local products. The program also contributes to local development by supporting the dairy sector, which is one of the key pillars of the Egyptian economy.

Seif Thabet, CEO of Juhayna Food Industries, stated: “We believe in the importance of developing the Egyptian dairy sector as a key component of food security and the national economy. ‘Kheir Baladna’ program reflects our long-term commitment to achieving sustainable development, not only by meeting our production needs but also by having a positive impact on consumer health and supporting farmers to improve production quality and enhance efficiency. Through this initiative, we aim to build sustainable partnerships that strengthen the national economy and support local communities, contributing to a comprehensive vision for the future development of the dairy sector in Egypt.”

It is worth noting that Juhayna Food Industries was established in 1983 as an Egyptian company specializing in the production, processing, and packaging of a wide range of dairy products, juice, and cooking products. The company has successfully achieved a leading position in the dairy and juice markets in Egypt and has expanded into international markets, exporting its products to 64 countries, including citrus exports. This success is attributed to its continuous commitment to providing healthy and safe food products that are distinguished by their superior quality, making it the brand of choice for consumers.
