MIDAR For Investment and Urban Development, the master developer of Mostakbal City and MADA in East Cairo, has announced the donation of EGP 15 million to support the medical sector in Egypt. This contribution aligns with the company’s commitment to its social responsibility role in Egypt. Of the total amount, EGP 9 million has been allocated to establish a specialized medical unit for pediatric bone marrow transplants in Ain Shams University Medical City.
These complex procedures require advanced medical equipment and high-quality healthcare. Additionally, EGP 6 million has been dedicated to upgrading the radiology department’s medical equipment at Al-Demerdash Hospital, enhancing service efficiency, and ensuring the continuity of healthcare for millions of patients annually.
Eng. Ayman ElKousey, MIDAR’s CEO & Managing Director, emphasized that as one of Egypt’s leading companies in investment and urban development, MIDAR places great importance on its role in community development across all sectors, particularly healthcare, alongside its pioneering role in developing integrated residential cities in Egypt.
Dr. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals, expressed his appreciation for MIDAR’s significant role in supporting Egypt’s healthcare sector as part of its social responsibility. He noted that the company’s total donations to Ain Shams Medical City over the past two years have reached approximately EGP 17 million. This includes EGP 2 million in donations in 2023 to furnish and equip the ophthalmology department at Al-Demerdash Hospital for surgery, and the recent EGP 15 million donation in 2024 to develop the radiology department and establish a bone marrow transplant unit for pediatric leukemia patients. This unit, part of a six-room facility expected to open in 2025, will significantly enhance the medical services provided to patients at Ain Shams University Hospitals.
I would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation to MIDAR for its outstanding role in advancing both the healthcare and real estate sectors in Egypt.
